A show needs an image that stays in your mind. Saturated color cuts through the darkness and establishes the mood immediately. Look for the first outfit that sets a collection’s visual vocabulary: its palette, scale and attitude. Then see whether later looks develop that idea or simply repeat it.
A garment comes alive in motion. Drape, volume and fabric weight reveal themselves as the model moves through the space. A still photograph can show a silhouette; the walk shows whether it feels fluid, rigid, heavy or light. That difference often makes the most theatrical pieces memorable.
